Hachumak offers retreats in a comfortable compound at the shore of the Amazon river itself.

There will be deep and transformative sacred plant ceremonies followed by private sharings and integrations, and also spending time everyday with Hachumak sharing stories and discussing the craft of traditional healing.

There will also be a variety of activities such as walkabouts and boat rides to enjoy the rainforest ecosystem and meet many plant species and eventually some animal encounters. Retreats offered are usually around seven and eleven days

A Medicine Man's brew encompasses several sacred plants that work harmoniously to provide healing on different levels. Besides the recipe being passed down through the teacher's lineage, a personal relationship needs to be established with each of the plants present in the recipe.

Hachumak's traditional recipe includes several plants beyond the core relationship of Ayahuasca and Chacruna. Other plants contribute with their generosity and specific healing force to produce a rich medicinal brew.

Retreats are offered with two different durations, seven and eleven days. Ceremonies are only held in Peru.

The seven day retreat comprises two ceremonies and the eleven day retreat comprises three ceremonies.

Day 1

Fly from Lima (LIM) to Iquitos (IQT) by or before noon. The flight duration ranges from 1h 50min to 2h 40min.

(This means you should already be in Lima by early morning of Day 1).

Jorge will meet the group at either the Lima airport or the Iquitos airport.

Take about a 1 hour boat ride up the Amazon river to the Sensidion Compound.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the compound with Hachumak and the staff to acclimate. Have dinner at compound.

Over the course of the retreat

Everyday breakfast lunch and dinner will be served, made with local ingredients that compliment the taste buds and the plant diet. Local fresh fruits and juice will be available daily.

On ceremony days only breakfast and lunch will be served. Hachumak starts his ceremonies around 10pm. 

The first plant ceremony will be held on the second or third evening depending on Hachumak's reading of the group.

Further ceremonies will be held one to three evenings after the previous one depending again on Hachumak's assesment of the group.

Leave compound in the morning for Iquitos on a boat down the river.

Afternoon flight from Iquitos ( IQT) to Lima (LIM) 

Usually being in Lima no later than 5:30pm 

(If flying home same day it is advised to make your flight after 10:30pm) 

Some visitors stay and tour Lima on their own

Activities that could be done with Hachumak during the day weather and time permitting

Embark on guided walks through the Amazon jungle, where you'll discover the rich diversity of trees and plants and learn about their unique properties and uses. 

Set out on a boat ride along the Amazon River, where you might encounter the magical pink dolphins, diverse wildlife, and the lush beauty of the surrounding trees and plants

Swimming in a beautiful natural spring in a neighboring village

Swim in the creek that runs through the Sensidion Compound

Take a stroll to the nearby village and school.

Relaxing on the terrace swinging in a hammock, immersing yourself in the enchanting symphony of nature, surrounded by the emerald embrace of the rainforest.
